theREP is in need of 3-4 young male actors for the 2018 Summer Stage Young Acting Company!

Do you want to perform on theREP’s stage this August? Well here’s your chance to audition! Capital Repertory Theater is in need of three to four more actors for the 2018 Summer Stage Young Acting Company!

To Audition Please Prepare:

  1.  A short, 1-minute, fully memorized monologue
  2.  Bring your headshot and resume stapled together
  3.  Age Range – 13-19 years old

Rehearsals & Master Classes: July 23 - August 9, 2018; 9am-4pm, Mon-Fri.
Performances (on theREP’s Stage): August 9-12, 2018
Tuition: $750 for three weeks. Scholarships available.

SPECIFICALLY SEEKING: 3-4 male actors who will perform in the six winning plays from theREP’s 2018 Young Playwright Contest. Actors must be able to portray characters such as (but not limited too):

Kappa, Lappa and Shaw – Corporate Clones. Nearly indistinguishable in every way but appearance. They are cutthroats – vicious and power hungry.

Police Officer – 30s. Standard police officer.

Waiter – A pretty typical waiter, cheerful and perky, and remains calm in a hyper/stressful situation. Perhaps a little bit more uptight than one would expect, given the dining establishment.

The Boyfriend – a standard boyfriend, confident in his dating abilities, and even more confident in his pun making abilities.

Teenagers – additional teenagers filling the myriad descriptions a teenager could fill.

Students of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to audition. All roles are open.
