NEW Media and Filmmaking Programs
Summer of 2018
Don’t know what to do for the summer? You won’t want to miss out on these new and exciting media/filmmaking programs happening at Proctors.
Acting for the Camera
Dates: July 30 – August 3 | 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Ages: 14 – 18
Tuition: $250
Location: The Addy Media Lab at Proctors
Experience: Intermediate
Acting for the Camera is designed for students interested in learning skills for acting in front of the camera. The program will study the craft of acting for film and television, which will be supported by staging techniques, understanding of camera positioning and framing, and what is expected from actors on set, with hitting marks, and following protocol. This program will prepare actors for auditioning and performing for the camera.

Stop Animation
Dates: July 9 – 13 | 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Ages: 14 – 18
Tuition: $250
Location: The Addy Media Lab at Proctors
Experience: Intermediate
Love watching animated films? Now is your chance to become your own animator using an iPad and simple lighting to capture the right moods of the story. This program will cover the basics of animation in stop-motion while focusing on the art of stop animation storytelling from beginning to end. Students will create short animated films by writing and producing characters and scenic elements out of materials made in class. * All equipment will be provided for the students.
RESERVE EARLY Space is limited. Maximum of 12 animators will be accepted into the program.
