What is Illuminate Theater? Illuminate theater is a small theater troupe that started in August of 2018 with their first performance at Troy Kitchen in Troy NY. Illuminate make theater accessible to the community by producing cabaret style theater once a month at Troy Kitchen. Illuminate has created a platform for actors of color in the capital region who feel as though their story is not being told on other stages. Audition When: March 14th 6:30 PM Where:25 Warren St. Albany NY 12202 Youth FX For: March installment of Illuminate on March 27th at 7:30 PM at Troy Kitchen Who: Female actors of color in the capital region who are eager to perform theater writer by women of color for women of color. What: Please prepare a published monologue between 3 and 5 minutes long that was written by female playwright of color. Some playwrights to explore include but are not limited to, Suzan Lori Parks, Katori Hall, Lynn Nottage, Danai Gurira and Sara Jones. How: To sign up for an audition slot follow this link.
