The School of the Performing Arts will be having auditions for Broadway Camp: AIDA this year!


AUDITIONS ARE THIS WEEKEND AND the FOLLOWING TUESDAY, SIGN UP NOW TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT!


Want to prepare for life as a professional actor or just have an awesome summer experience? Join us for four weeks of rehearsals for AIDA, and additional workshops and studio classes that will train you in singing, dancing and acting; and making memories that last a lifetime with your cast, crew, and orchestra

Auditions:

March 10 | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

March 13 | 5 – 7 p.m.

*For those not able to attend audition dates, we will accept a video audition.

Digital Video Submission | Deadline is March 1, 2018


Location: GE Theatre at Proctors

                     432 State Street Schenectady, NY 12305

Program Dates: July 9 – August 3 | 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  | M–F

Performances: 7 p.m. August 3, 2 p.m. & 7 p.m. August 4


Audition Information:

  *   Both acting audition days will begin with dance followed by singing. All students will be expected to take part in both sections and stay the entire time
  *   Auditions will begin with a dance combination for everyone-please wear appropriate shoes to dance in and clothes you can easily move in
  *   Prepare two contrasting 16 bar cuts of pop-rock songs, up-tempo and ballad in the style of Aida to showcase your talent, please know the entire song.
  *   PLEASE BRING SHEET MUSIC IN THE CORRECT KEY FOR YOUR AUDITION SONGS
  *   Readings from the script will take place at either the auditions or callbacks, no monologues necessary.
  *   Bring a resume and headshot if available
