Project Type: TV Pilot – Comedy

Project Name: Caught in Limbo

Audition Dates: June 5th & June 7th (3-5pm) Location will be given to those
asked to audition

Shoot Dates: 2 week period (August 19- August 31)

Offering: Copy, meals, credit

If heaven represents everything that is right and hell represents
everything that is wrong – this show finds the main characters in
situations where there is not necessarily a definite right or wrong way to
approach things (Limbo). The show will take several normal, “run of the
mill” life happenings and illuminate them to the audience in a comical way.

Roles (ALL ROLES ARE NON UNION)

Characters - MAIN

Sal Shore (Mid 30’s) - Outgoing, athletic and pretty laid back. Has a
comical personality but over thinks things to a fault. Sal finds normal,
“run of the mill” life happenings highly interesting and often dissects
things deeply in order to find the comical nature of them. Great friends
with Jason and solid friends with Maggie. He often throws these “run of the
mill” things at them to help with his analysis of things which usually
leads to social trouble.

Jason Rudy (Mid 30’s) - Smart, witty, easy to get along with and loves
sports and politics. Great friends with Sal & solid friends with Maggie.
Jason is the type of guy that you enjoy being friends with. He, like Sal,
enjoys the constant dissection of the “run of the mill” life happenings –
this makes them even stronger friends. He and Sal have great chemistry
together. Jason is a bit short tempered and is not one to live in the
“gray” area of things. Once he makes his mind up – he rarely goes back on
it. At his core, Jason is not completely confident in himself and is often
second guessing his choices and decisions.

Maggie Hart (Mid 30’s) High energy and enthusiasm - gets along with anyone
and everyone. Very good friends with both Sal and Jason. Like Sal & Jason –
Maggie has great chemistry with both. There is not a feel of anything
romantic between Maggie & the guys – but more of a “big brother”
relationship feel. Maggie loves the idea of “mashing up the status quo” and
that fact drives her when discussions and happenings pop up regarding the
“run of the mill” life happenings.

Characters – SUPPLEMENTAL FOR PILOT EPISODE

Mr. Sebastian Dyie (Mid 50’s) Super serious, very dry sense of humor and
rarely smiles and/or laughs. Mr. Dyie takes his job incredibly serious and
has absolutely no time for nonsense or horseplay. He very much operates in
a “black and white” world. In his universe, there is nothing more serious
and fulfilling than being a funeral home director.

Mrs. Eileen Batt (Mid 40’s) 100% “Super Mom.” Believes, thinks and feels
that her daughter is a legitimate basketball prodigy – even though she is
only in Middle School. Has no problem and actually enjoys telling anyone
and everyone how great her daughter is. She has high energy to a fault, she
is overly annoying and truly has an “in your face” and intrusive
personality. Eileen is the type of lady that makes you want to cross the
street if you saw her walking on your side of the road

Interested actors/actresses should have experience with comedy. Improv
background a plus. Please send picture and resume to Steve (
