Town Players of Pittsfield is holding auditions on Monday, June 4th at 6:30pm in Room K-111 at Berkshire Community College ,1350 West St.,  for its July staged reading of "It's A Grand Night For Murder" written and directed  by Joe Starzyk.


SYNOPSIS

Phil knows his marriage to Sally is falling apart. Despite his philandering he doesn’t want to share the wealth. He sets out on a quest to kill Sally and winds up in the company of the strangest hit man ever: Ginger Baer. Hiring Ginger becomes complicated by the intrusion of a man named Ramon. He keeps turning up and no one knows why. Things become more complicated when Ginger tries to woo Sally.

Phil tries to take his secretary away for the weekend, but winds up in the same cabin as Sally. The mysterious Ramon shows up as do both Dinsmore, a cockney accomplice of Ramon’s and the cable woman. Romances increase, but so does the body count. Many people wind up dead, but none are Sally. After all that there is a wonderfully unexpected surprise at the end.

Ramon Any age. The strange man that Phil meets in the bar.

Ginger Any age. The even stranger man Phill meets. 

Heather Phil’s 20 something girlfriend

Dinsmore Any age. Inept British hit man.

Cable Woman Larger in stature, smaller in affect cable television worker. 

Mourners 1 & 2 Two bit parts, preferably women but could be either.

Mourner 3 Bit part. Should be male.
