Hello all,

This is a casting call for minor roles in the upcoming production of a short film shooting in the Hudson Valley and Capital Region called THE BLACK SKY UNDER HARPER'S ROCK, a short film based on a story written by local filmmaker Steve Cifarelli. The project is scheduled to shoot on the second weekend of November, and it will be a full 3-day weekend shoot (11/9/18, 11/10/18, and 11/11/18). The backup shooting dates for weather-dependent scenes are the following weekend, the third weekend of November, and would obviously not necessarily require all 3 days of that weekend. Please also note this film is primarily set at night, so some shoots may run late into the evenings.

This is a NON-UNION project, so pay is variable to absent depending on the role, but food & drink will be provided for you the day you are on set, and all transportation costs can be covered. Shooting locations will be a quarry in Ravena, NY, a diner in Red Hook, NY, and a series of suburban locations in the Capital Region and Kingston, NY areas. Synopsis:
A town searches for a girl who ran off in the night, but the only one who can find her is the ex-lover she runs from.  As the clock ticks, he realizes the ways in which she’s changed him.  Can John find Sarah before it’s too late?

[LINDA STONE] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 40-55]
The mother of Sarah Stone. Linda knows something hasn't been right with her daughter and watches her carefully, but the second she looks away is the moment Sarah disappears in the night. Chats with friends on the phone about a recent celebrity suicide. Doesn't understand "how anybody could do such a thing!"

[BILL STONE] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 40-55]
The father of Sarah Stone. He spends the first scene drunkenly asleep in a chair in front of a TV, and the second scene walking out of the house behind his wife to ask the neighbors help him find his daughter.

[JERRY] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 40-65]
A neighbor smoking cigs while watching the police outside their neighbor Bill's house. Wonders why "the whole world got strange overnight."

[BOB] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 40-65]
A neighbor sipping beers while watching the police outside their neighbor Bill's house. Sees the sadness in Bill Stone's eyes when Bill walks over.

[OFFICER ROBINSON] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 25-45]
A police officer who talks to Linda Stone on her front doorstep.

[OFFICER GUILLIARDI] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 25-45]
A police officer who goes with Bill Stone to round up a search party.

[OLD MAN AT THE DINER] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 55+]
An old man at the diner who coughs up a pill that sputters across the diner counter.
