KRIS KRINGLE The Musical will be produced on Proctor’s Mainstage (Schenectady, NY)

Synopsis:


Kris Kringle is a dreamer, a young genius toy maker with no place to call home. When he gets an opportunity to apprentice at the North Pole, it seems that all his dreams may finally come true. But on his adventures, he’ll have to navigate jealous schemers, an ancient curse, first love, and Santa’s formidable Rule Book. This funny, captivating show for all ages tells the story of how young Kris Kringle reunited his family and saved the Spirit of Christmas!


Rehearsals and Performances (November – December, 2019):

Please note that there will be, a maximum of, 2-rehearsals that will take place in Manhattan. Anyone auditioning must be prepared to adhere to this commitment.

  *   1st rehearsal will be one day in mid-November to learn all music and choreography (in Schenectady)
  *   2nd and 3rd rehearsals will be in Manhattan with possible dates of November 30th and December 7th (in Manhattan)
  *   4th rehearsal possible on December 11th (in Schenectady)
  *   Tech: December 12th & 13th (in Schenectady)
  *   Performances: December 14th & 15th (in Schenectady)

Seeking 3 (three) Children:

ALL ETHNICITIES, a mix of boys and girls who range in age from 8-12 (boys must have unchanged voices) –

All three must be triple threats with great personalities and senses of humor. They will play multiple rolls, including: Young Kris Kringle, New York City children, Elf Children at the North Pole, and more.


Audition Details:

August 23, 2019, 5-8pm, Acting/Singing (sides and recording provided)

August 24, 2019 10:30am-2:30pm, Dance Call


Location: The Addy Dance Studio at Proctors [432 State Street, Schenectady, NY] – please note The Addy is on the 3rd floor.


Must be able to attend both the singing/acting audition as well as the dance call.


Should prepare the character sides and song provided – materials will be emailed when scheduling audition time slot – for the Friday portion of the audition.
