Modern Dance is a broad catch all phrase usually( these days)  implying the mix of various dance styles: ballet,jazz,African dance ,classical Indian Dance ,Native American dance forms and classical modern dance such as Lester Horton technique.

I the instructor performed professionally in NYC, and else where as a ballet and modern dancer .

Locally with the Berkshire Ballet.

I have studied most major modern dance .post modern dance and classical ballet styles;The Paul Taylor technique (NYC), and Vaganova  and Cecchetti ballet technique SF Ballet School just to cover a bit of my training.


Wear stretchy clothing be ready to dance barefoot or in socks and have hair at least in a ponytail

We have in the past (at your own expense ) to NYC to take classes at the Alvin Ailey Dance Center.
