Synopsis:
This Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning drama by Frank D. Gilroy tells
the story of Timmy Cleary, a young, idealistic soldier who returns from
World War II to his parents’ New York apartment to find their marriage in
shambles. Reminiscing, the family attempts to recapture the past and return
to a life that never really was. Instead, Timmy discovers that he's left
the battlefields of Europe only to become a prisoner of his parents' war of
regret and recrimination.

Seeking:
John Cleary: 50s. A coffee merchant. Looks at his life as financial
failure. Tends take his frustrations out on his family and is unable to
communicate on a deeper level.

Nettie Cleary: 40-50. John’s wife. A stay-at-home mother. Dreams of simpler
times full of love, compassion and understanding. Having Timmy out of the
house has left her lost with no real purpose. His return serves as the only
happiness she’s been supplied in a long while.

Timmy: 20s. Has returned home after serving in World War II. In his younger
years was a “momma's boy.” Now that he has returned he can relate to his
father more, which he could never do as a child. Witty and charming.
