Confetti Stages Inc. announces auditions for Seascape by Edward Albee. At
the Albany Masonic Hall, 67 Corning Pl , Albany , NY 12207.

Audition dates: Feb 18 & Feb 20. Sign in by 6:30 pm

Production dates: April 26 - May 5
Rehearsals will begin in March

Overview: Winner of the 1975 Pulitzer Prize, Seascape is about a day at the
beach with Charlie and Nancy, an American couple on the verge of
retirement. They are discussing the problems in their relationship when
another couple appears, two human-sized lizards named Leslie and Sarah who
speak and act like people. The lizards have evolved to such a degree that
they no longer feel at home in the sea and are compelled to seek life on
the land. What follows is an absurdist examination of societal norms and
human behavior.

Character Breakdown:

Charlie (M, 55+): On the verge of retirement. Feels he has earned the right
to spend the rest of his life doing nothing. Can be stubborn.

Nancy (F, 45+): Charlie's open minded wife of many years. Wants to dedicate
her life to traveling the world, with or without Charlie.

Leslie (M, 20+): A lizard. Headstrong and cautiously curious about humans.

Sarah (F, 20+): A lizard. Sarah is eager, optimistic, and somewhat naive.

*Confetti is seeking a diverse cast for this performance!*

**Actors auditioning for Leslie or Sarah must be comfortable moving on all
fours and potentially wearing tight costumes**

Auditions will consist of reading scenes from the script.
