Auditions for our fall productions!   

Friday June 28 from 6 to 9 pm at The Patrizio Arts Center 5 First Avenue Latham New York! Into The Woods Jr, ages 8 to 14, (consideration given to those younger than 8 if the Directors feel the student is capable). Participation fee is $400.00

Be careful what you wish for, as Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical.  Into the Woods JR. features all of your favorite characters — Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch — in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables.
The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse, and wind up changed forever.

With unforgettable roles, minimal dancing and no chorus, Into the Woods JR. showcases a medium-sized ensemble of talented singers and actors. The sophisticated score has been adapted to make it more accessible to young performers.

Jekyll and Hyde The Musical (ages 14 and up) October 24, 25 and 26.  The epic struggle between good and evil comes to life on stage in the musical phenomenon, Jekyll & Hyde. Based on the classic story by Robert Louis Stevenson and featuring a thrilling score of pop rock hits from multi-Grammy- and Tony-nominated Frank Wildhorn and double-Oscar- and Grammy-winning Leslie Bricusse, Jekyll & Hyde has mesmerized audiences the world over.
An evocative tale of two men – one, a doctor, passionate and romantic; the other, a terrifying madman – and two women – one, beautiful and trusting; the other, beautiful and trusting only herself– both women in love with the same man and both unaware of his dark secret. A devoted man of science, Dr. Henry Jekyll is driven to find a chemical breakthrough that can solve some of mankind's most challenging medical dilemmas. Rebuffed by the powers that be, he decides to make himself the subject of his own experimental treatments, accidentally unleashing his inner demons along with the man that the world would come to know as Mr. Hyde.

Rehearsals  begin in late August at St. Michaels Episcopal Church 49 Killean Park Albany NY on Wednesday evenings (usually just for soloists)
and Saturdays from 10 to 4. Lead roles are shared when possible so that everyone gets a chance for growth and progress. Participation fee is $500.00.  Scholarships are given on the basis of need.  Fallen Chandelier is fully staffed by New York State Certified Teachers who work in the Capital District. Fallen Chandelier is a not for profit organization. Our performance venues vary but are always in the Capital District.  We hope to see new students as well as our dozens of regulars!
