*Audition Requirements*

●        Prepare 16 - 32 measures of a modern musical theater piece.
Consider the range of the role you wish to be considered for.

●        Bring your own sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist
will be provided.

●        Actors and Actresses of ALL ethnicities are encouraged to audition!

●        Please bring a resume and head shot, if you have one. (Not
required)

●        Please be prepared to provide all potential conflicts from
July through
September.

●        Actors should be prepared to read from the script.

●        Please bring appropriate clothing/shoes for a dance call. All cast
will dance at some point

*Synopsis*

THE ADDAMS FAMILY features an original story, and it’s every father’s
nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of the darkness, has
grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a
respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t
upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell
her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before –
keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for
the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s
‘normal’ boyfriend and his family.

Gomez Addams (Lead): Male, 35-55
Adores his wife, takes great pride in his children, and is immensely proud
to be an Addams; must have great comedic timing, move well, strong vocals;
fencing skills a plus; tenor (Bb2-G4)

Morticia Addams (Lead): Female, 35-50
The real head of the family; easy comedic actor with a sexy, dry wit;
strong dancer; alto/mezzo (G3-Bb5)

Wednesday Addams (Lead): Female, 18-25 (plays 18)
Just wants her family to be normal for one night; dry sense of humor;
strong pop voice with belt (A3-E5)

Pugsley Addams (Supporting): Male, plays 10-13, will consider adults or
teens
A funny boy who loves being tortured by his sister; boy soprano to E5

Uncle Fester (Supporting): Male, 30-50
Serves as the narrator; larger than life; child-like presence; needs strong
comedic skills; tenor (C3-C5)

Lucas Beineke (Supporting): Male, 18-25 (play 19)
In love with Wednesday and plans to marry her; tenor (C3-C5)


Mal Beineke (Supporting): Male, 40-55
Lucas’ stuffy father; baritone/tenor (C3-A4)

Alice Beinecke (Supporting): Female, 40-50
Mousy housewife mother of Lucas; strong comedic singer/actress;
soprano/high belt (Ab3-G#5)

Grandma (Featured): Female, 35+
A feisty, 102 year old woman; fun and quirky; strong character vocals;
(G4-F5)


Lurch (Featured): Male, 25-50
Tall man of few words; low bass (Eb2-F4)

Ensemble (‘The Ancestors’): Males & Females
Strong singers and dancers; knowledge of tango and flamenco dancing a plus.
