Synopsis: Colm, a fisherman living on a remote Irish island, has fallen in love with a woman he's glimpsed only once. Unschooled in letter writing, he tries his utmost to court her by mail and finally succeeds in arranging a rendezvous. Timothea, beguiled by his gift of gab, persuades him to come be with her in Liverpool where she toils away at a publisher’s office. Can these mismatched, lonely spirits build a future based upon hope, desire and poetic words... or is the call of home too great? This lyrical, touching play won the Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle and the Canadian National Regional Theatre Awards.
