Show Info:
This play was written by director Eric Shovah and includes traditional carols and new songs with music by Isaiah Evans. The show is a play with music – not a musical.
Based on Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol, this story is about how a single night can change the entire course of a person’s life. This ghost story follows miser Ebenezer Scrooge as he is visited by four spirits on a Christmas Eve in Victorian London. First Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his old partner, Jacob Marley, and then visited by the ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. As Scrooge travels with each ghost, viewing both his life and what may come, we hope that he can learn what the true spirit of Christmas is all about… but is it too late?
Anyone auditioning must attend at least one night of auditions but may attend both if they would like. There is no need to prepare a monologue as auditions will consist of readings from the show. Some people may be taught a short segment of a Christmas carol to sing as well. If you cannot attend the audition dates but wish to audition, please contact the director as soon as possible, prior to the start of auditions. The production staff will do the best they can do accommodate requests, but only those made prior to auditions.
Rehearsals will start at the end of October and most rehearsals (until Thanksgiving week) will be held on Mondays and Fridays at 6:30-9:30pm and Sundays from 1:00-5:00pm.
