Auditions for DON'T IRON WHILE THE STRIKE IS HOT!, an educational musical
about 19th Century Labor activist Kate Mullany will be held Tuesday Sept 17
6-8pm at The Arts Center of the Capital Region, 265 River St. Troy. Produced
by The American Labor Studies Center, owners of The Kate Mullany House
National Historic Site in Troy, the musical casts 3 women appearing Irish
and 20-35 years old, and one male tenor appearing Irish and 25-40 years old.
PAID POSITION. The hour long show will be presented in 3 Middle and High
Schools in the Capital Region in November, as well as 2 evening public
performances spring 2020, one May 15 at Cohoes Music Hall. Midweek
rehearsals at The Arts Center Tues & Wed eves throughout October.
Candidates should bring sheet music for accompanist and be prepared to sing
16 bars as well as interact with other actors and read from the script
