*Master Class Performing Arts ~ Auditions*
*Fall 2020*

Auditions for actors and actresses are scheduled for *Sunday, August 9
*beginning
at *2pm* at The Electric City Barn, 400 Craig Street, Schenectady.
Applicants should come prepared to perform 32 measures of any Broadway
song, and complete a cold reading from the script.  *An accompanist will
not be available, please bring an appropriate track*.  NO ACAPELLA
Auditions will be permitted.

*SAFETY PROTOCOL FOR AUDITIONS: * In order to ensure the safety of our
audition panel and performers we will be asking anyone interested in
auditioning to *email us to sign up for a time slot*.  Each time slot is 15
minutes - 10 minutes for the audition and 5 minutes to disinfect the area.
Prior to entering the theatre performers will be subject to a temperature
check and asked to sanitize at the sanitization station.  Any performer
with a temperature exceeding 100 degrees will be asked to leave for the
safety of all involved.  Performers will be asked to wear a mask until they
are in the designated audition location.  At this time they can remove the
mask to perform.  Once they have finished their audition they are asked to
put the mask back on and exit the building.  The next performer will not be
permitted to enter the building until their allotted time slot.

*VIRTUAL OPTION:  *We want all of our performers to feel safe.  If you do
not wish to attend an in-person audition, we will also be scheduling
virtual auditions.  We ask that you *ONLY utilize this if you feel
uncomfortable coming in person*.

If cast, you are required to *accept or decline your role within 24 hours* of
the offer or the role will be recast.  A *$50 audition fee* will be
collected at the time of audition, if cast in the production this fee will
be deducted from your tuition amount.  If a student is not cast in the
production the fee will be returned within 5-10 business days.  *Remaining
tuition amount will be due immediately upon acceptance of your role.*

*ALL ROLES ARE AVAILABLE!*
*MCPA is looking for Disabled and Non-Disabled Black, Asian, Native,
Latino, Arab, White, and Multi-Racial male or female-identifying performers
for all roles!*

*Virtual Rehearsal Times: * Sundays, commencing mid-August.
*Tech Capabilities:  *Students must have access to a computer with a webcam
and WIFI in order to participate.  If this is an issue, please let us know
and we will see if we can assist students in obtaining these.
*Tuition: * $150.00
*Ages:*  8 - 100
*Adult Performers, ages 21 to 100, DO NOT pay a Tuition Fee to be in this
production.  A $50 costuming fee will be assessed for performers in this
age range.  *
