Lies And Legends: The Musical Stories of Harry Chapin
Sunday, January 26th and Monday, January 27th, 2020.

music and lyrics by Harry Chapin, the pop troubadour of the 70's. 
Rehearsals begin in February,  
Performances April 17-19 and 23-26.
Seeking minimum of five to seven actor/singers, mixed male and female, all ages, races, ethnicities and types welcome. More may be cast depending on turnout and abilities.  Particularly seeking actor/singers who can also play musical instruments, particularly guitars, keyboards, but also strings (solo violin or cello), winds (flute? clarinet or sax? recorder?), percussion, or unusual stringed instruments (autoharp? banjo? mandolin?); planning to incorporate musicians directly into the cast onstage. 
Prepare a brief selection of a pop tune -- either a Harry Chapin song or similar storytelling style (Jim Croce, Gordon Lightfoot, Dan Fogelberg, Billy Joel, Judy Collins, Simon and Garfunkel etc.); Broadway selections acceptable if they tell a story! May sing a capella. Bring detailed schedule information for the audition period Feb.-April.
