Albany Civic Theater Announces the Auditions for Deathtrap
Audition Dates: February 3 and 4. 6:30 sign in, 7:00 start
Location: Albany Civic Theater, 235 Second Avenue, Albany, NY 12206
Performance Dates: May 1-17, Friday and Saturday at 7:30, Sunday at 3:00.
Rehearsals start Feb 9, dates based on actors conflicts 
 
Roles
Sidney Bruhl Male, 45-59, stately, wry, witty, erudite, distinguished, a writer, has a strong magnetizing presence of a man who has achieved great fame and stature. A celebrated playwright of mystery thrillers who gained astonishing success early in his career but has hit a dry spell. Actor preferred to have some experience in stage combat.  Ethnicity: All Ethnicities

Myra Bruhl, Female, 40-59, a modest, self-effacing woman, middle-upper class. Has a nervous, quick, disposition and tends to follow, rather than lead. Married to Sidney for eleven years. Ethnicity: All Ethnicities

Clifford Anderson, Male, 20-35, charismatic, sturdy, good-looking, with the youthful, optimistic exuberance. A former writing student of Sidney’s and young lover. Actor preferred tohave some experience in stage combat.  Ethnicity: All Ethnicities

Helga Ten Dorp Female, 40+, a wildly eccentric, mysterious woman, European psychic. Her magical powers are very real and potent. She is a celebrity and enjoys the fame, attention and the status.  Ethnicity: All Ethnicities

Porter Milgram (Supporting): Male, 50-59, a pragmatic, though fairly meddlesome, lawyer, direct, to the point, businessman who is in charge of Sidney’s legal affairs.  Ethnicity: All Ethnicities
