INTRO TO MODERN DANCE

Modern dance is a broad catch phrase that usually describes the mixing of various dance idioms together: ballet, jazz, theater, and classical modern dance styles. In this online class, students will learn about and practice modern dancing each week. Students are asked to wear stretchy clothing, have long hair securely pulled up and be prepared to dance barefoot or in socks – in an area with ample space. NEW- BEGINNING MODERN/CONTEMPORARY DANCE FOR CHILDREN/TEENS

Modern/contemporary dance class encompasses the mixing of various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, classical modern dance, African dance, and theater dance together. Students, ages 8-16, will learn a little about dance history while having a weekly technique class itself. Students are asked to wear stretchy clothing, have long hair securely pulled up and be prepared to dance barefoot or in socks – in an area with ample space.
