Dear fellow 518 directors, filmmakers, actors and artists,

Hello! My name is Andy Maycock. I'm a local screenwriter and filmmaker and was
named one of the Top 25 Screenwriters to Watch in 2020 by the International
Screenwriters’ Association. After the success of past projects, my TV
mini-series "Admissions" and my short film "Looking", I have decided to
move forward with the development of my new feature, "The Best Man's
Privilege".

Instead of shooting the whole thing, I’m going to shoot just the trailer.
This feels like a natural way to condense the story into its key moments,
and then use the finished trailer to raise interest in the bigger picture
(no pun intended). We’d like to shoot the feature and the trailer feels
like a good marketing tool to show what it’s about - and what we can do.

The “we” is a tremendous team. Josh Stolberg, who wrote the great romantic
comedy “Good Luck Chuck” is a big fan, and has promised to help any way he
can. I consider him our Executive Producer. Joe Kraemer, a friend who grew
up in Voorheesville and went on to write the original score for dozens of
projects (including JACK REACHER and MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE ROGUE NATION) is
going to write the original score for the trailer (and has already signed
on for the feature). Mike Camoin, a local filmmaker, is acting as our
Producer and Location Manager. He’s trying to find a litany of great places
for us to shoot, from an elegant outdoor wedding venue to a ratty old
warehouse. You already know Dana Goodknight; her leading man is David
Cerutti, another NYC actor who got his start in the Capital District.
