BREAKDOWN

  Visiting Mr. Green
Recently widowed Mr. Green is hit by a car driven by Ross Gardiner. A
judge orders Ross to pay weekly visits to Mr. Green to help with
groceries and other needs. What begins as a kind of ODD COUPLE comedy
about two men who don't want to be around each other, evolves into a
moving and touching drama about love, family, and human connection.
Mr. Green: 86. Jewish retired dry cleaner. Recently widowed.
Ross Gardiner: 29. Jewish. American Express executive.
Shakespeare's Will
Written by Canadian playwright Vern Theissen, this one-woman show
explores the life of William Shakespeare's wife Anne Hathaway. The play
examines the love Anne had for her husband and her children, the
challenges she had to overcome, and the sacrifices she made for him.
Anne: A woman of indeterminate age. Actor must be skilled with lyrical
poetry and be able to handle a one-person show. This is an emotionally
demanding role and requires a highly skilled performer.
Turn of the Screw
Adapted from the story by Henry James, Turn of the Screw is a 2-hander
which tells the story of a young governess who is sent to an English
manor to care for two recently orphaned children. While there she begins
to see the ghosts of the former governess and a sadistic valet. But are
the ghosts real or just figments of her imagination?
The Woman: Plays the governess. 20-30s. Attractive.
The Man: Plays all other roles. 30s-50s. Skilled at physically and
vocally creating dynamic and unique characters.
