Please be advised that we are looking to hire an Education Programs Manager.

JOB SUMMARY:

Proctors Collaborative is the largest cultural institution in the Capital Region with performing arts venues in Albany, Schenectady and Saratoga, and education, civic engagement and economic development initiatives throughout the region. The School of the Performing Arts is the education wing of the organization, offering a robust series of training programs, classes and engagement programs in each venue, in schools and throughout the community.
The EDUCATION PROGRAMS MANAGER has primary responsibility for creating an annual work plan and calendar of education programs relating to School relationships and partnerships, articulating goals and objectives for all programs, creating and coordinating the marketing plans, enrollment, budgets, and program impact across multiple Proctors Collaborative organizations. The EDUCATION PROGRAMS MANAGER will oversee adjunct faculty as needed and ensure training as needed for excellent program delivery.  EDUCATION PROGRAMS MANAGER works closely with staff at multiple locations as needed including Proctors, Capital Repertory Theatre, Universal Preservation Hall to ensure delivery of all aspects of Education programming and forward thinking vision.
RESPONSIBILITES:

  *   Develops and implements performing arts-based education programs that align with School of the Performing Arts programming and organizational mission.
  *   Cultivates and forges positive relationships with school district administrators, teachers, parents and other key constituents in the community.
  *   Develops and delivers after school programs in collaboration with the urban school districts we serve.
  *   Establishes partnerships and collaborations between School of the Performing Arts artists and each specific campus for learning and engagement.
  *   Initiates and enhances dialogue with community members as needed to serve as one of the primary learning and engagement representatives at public events.
  *   Develops goals and success metrics for learning and engagement initiatives; tracks impact  and participant demographics as needed.
  *   Hires, provides site based support, and oversees progress of adjunct faculty.
  *   Provides administrative support at various locations, is available occasional evenings, and weekend hours, responsive as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

  *   3-5 years of relevant experience, with practical and management experience as an arts administrator and/or similar relevant field.
  *   Knowledge of and/or experience with school systems and education.
  *   Knowledge of national trends in arts learning and passion for community engagement.
  *   Appreciation of the arts to promote creativity, and inspiration for life-long learning.
  *   Experience working with diverse populations.
  *   Exceptional organizational, written and verbal skills.
  *   Must be a leader, dependable and self-motivated.
  *   Creative, energetic and passionate about the performing arts.
  *   Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint a plus).
  *   Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education or a performing arts discipline from an accredited university or college a plus.
