Master Electrician - Adirondack Theatre Festival
Adirondack Theatre Festival, a professional, Equity theater company committed to new and contemporary works, seeks a Master Electrician for the 2022 summer season. Our season includes three mainstage productions and a concert presentation of a new musical. ATF is the only professional summer theatre in the Capital District, Saratoga and Adirondack regions of upstate New York solely committed to producing new and contemporary musicals and plays.
The Master Electrician’s responsibilities include but are not limited to implementation of lighting designs, preparation of shop orders, preparing theatrical spaces, maintaining equipment, and supervision of running crews and interns. The Master Electrician shall be under the supervision of the Producing Artistic Director & Director of Production.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have experience as a Master Electrician for a professional theatre company and possess superior ability to load-in, trouble-shoot, and execute electrics including hanging, circuiting, and focusing. The preferred candidate will have professional electrics experience along with excellent organizational, communication, time management, and interpersonal skills. The ability to work collaboratively with diverse interns, staff, guest designers, and community members is also required.
Position requires Master Electrician to be on-site in Glens Falls full-time during the following periods:
June 5-18
June 26- July 9
July 17-30
Aug. 7-12
During the above periods, a salary of $600/wk will be provided as well as local housing (if needed). Salary negotiable for any additional part-time work or remote work. Valid driver’s license required.
ATF complies with AEA and SDC Covid safety requirements; all employees are currently required to show proof of vaccination and negative Covid 19 test before beginning work on-site. ATF's requirements will continue to be updated in response to updated union requirements.
