	AUDITIONS JUNE 14 & 16 FOR THE SUNSHINE BOYS AT SCP 

	Schenectady Civic Players will be holding open auditions for 

	THE SUNSHINE BOYS

	Directed by Amy Sarah LaMena 

	AUDITIONS:  

	Tuesday, June 14 & Thursday, June 16  

	Sign-ups begin at 7:15 pm, auditions begin at 7:30 pm 

	Those auditioning will read sides from the script 

	Location:  

	Schenectady Civic Players is located at 12 S. Church St, Schenectady,
NY, 12305. 

	PERFORMANCES:  

	September 16-18 & 21-25, 2022 

	Friday / Saturday at 8:00 pm, Sunday at 2:30 pm, Wednesday/Thursday
at 7:30 pm  

	REHEARSALS: 

	There will be 3-4 rehearsals per week, days/times depending on cast
availability 

	Bring lists of conflicts to auditions  

	SHOW DESCRIPTION: 

	The story follows the attempt by a young theatrical agent to re-unite
his elderly uncle, a former vaudevillian great, with his long-time
stage partner for a TV reunion. Despite their celebrated reputation,
the two old men have not spoken in twelve years. Besides remastering
their sketch, the two men have numerous issues to work out before they
are ready to return to the public eye. 

	AVAILABLE ROLES: 

	WILLIE CLARK (60S-80S) 

	A stubborn, unpredictable former vaudeville star refusing to let go
of a dead show business career 

	AL LEWIS (60S-80S) 

	A reserved, classy former vaudeville star, slowed by age but
accepting it with grace 

	BEN SILVERMAN (30S) 

	Loving nephew and agent to Willie Clark despite Willie’s attempts
to try his patience 

	REGISTERED NURSE (50S-60S) 

	No-nonsense caregiver  

	BURLESQUE NURSE (20S) 

	Curvy, sexy stereotype acting in the revival of a famous Sunshine
Boys sketch 

	TV ASSISTANT EDDIE (20S) 

	CBS floor assistant / director for the revival of The Sunshine Boys
famous sketch 

	PATIENT (MATURE) 

	Male patient in the Sunshine Boys famous sketch 

	Schenectady Civic Players promotes inclusive casting, and encourages
