[Capdist-auditions] Fort Salem Theater | 2023 Creative/Production Team Opportunities

Fort Salem Theater invites freelance artists of all experience levels to
apply for our 2023 season, which includes *Spring Awakening, You're A Good
Man Charlie Brown, Footloose, Corn The Musical, The Rocky Horror Show,
Pirates of Penzance, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and There's No Business
Like Snow Business*. Typical show schedules begin 5-7 weeks in advance of
each production’s opening night, plus any necessary meetings and
pre-production work.

As a 501c3 non-profit organization, Fort Salem Theater hires creatives on a
per-show basis with a modest stipend available for each position. Directors
and designers are welcome to fulfill more than one position to maximize
stipend opportunities when appropriate (examples: Director/Choreographer,
Music Director/Rehearsal Accompanist/Pit Musician, Lighting
Designer/Lighting Op, etc.)

Average stipends:
Director: $500
Music Director: $500
Choreographer: $250
Stage Manager: $200
Rehearsal Accompanist: $500
Costume Designer: $300
Properties Designer: $150
Lighting Designer: $200
Sound Designer: $200
Lighting Operator: $100
Sound Operator: $100
Pit Musician: $40/performance (averages $440 for a 6 performance +
rehearsal period)
