Announcing auditions for Bunbury Players’ virtual production of
A Christmas Carol
Adapted by James Hutchinson
from the novella by Charles Dickens
Directed by Garrett D. West

All roles are open to performers of all ages, ethnicities and gender identities.

 
Actor #1: Ebenezer Scrooge (a bitter old miser)
 
Actor #2: Fred (Scrooge’s nephew), Young Scrooge (he was a different man then), Peter Cratchit (Bob’s oldest son) and Mr. Newbury (the undertaker)
 
Actor #3: Mr. Granger (a philanthropist), Mr. Harington (a client of Scrooge’s), Fezziwig (Scrooge’s old boss), The Ghost of Christmas Present (the second spirit) and Old Joe (receiver of stolen goods)
 
Actor #4: Mr. Bentley (a business associate), Jacob Marley (Scrooge’s business partner) and Thomas (a young man)

Actor #5: Bob Cratchit (Scrooge’s clerk), Dick Wilkins (Belle’s husband) and Topper (a friend of Fred’s)

 
Actor #6: Boy Scrooge (a nice quiet boy), George (Belle’s son), Tiny Tim (Bob’s youngest son) and Ignorance (a scrawny boy)
 
Actor #7: Belle (Scrooge’s fiancée), Martha Cratchit (Bob’s oldest daughter), Emma (Fred’s wife) and Caroline (Thomas’ wife)
 
Actor #8: Mrs. Dilber (Scrooge’s cleaning lady), Mrs. Fezziwig (Scrooge’s boss’ wife) and Mrs. Cratchit (Bob’s wife)
 
Actor #9: The Ghost of Christmas Past (the first spirit), Rose (Emma’s sister) and The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come (the third spirit)
 
Actor #10: Fan (Scrooge’s sister), Grace (Belle’s daughter), Abigail Cratchit (Bob’s youngest daughter) and Greed (a scrawny girl)
 
Auditions
Saturday, November 19th at 1PM
No preparation needed – you will asked to do cold readings from the script

Once the form has been submitted, you will then receive a Zoom link for the audition

Rehearsals (schedule is flexible)
Saturday, November 26th from 1PM-5PM
Monday, November 28th from 7PM-9PM
Wednesday, November 30th from 7PM-9PM
Saturday, December 3rd from 1PM-5PM
Monday, December 5th from 7PM-9PM
Wednesday, December 7th from 7PM-9PM
Saturday, December 10th from 1PM-5PM
Monday, December 12th from 7PM-9PM
Wednesday, December 14th from 7PM-9PM
Friday, December 16th at 7PM (Dress Rehearsal/Safety Tape)*
 
*This rehearsal is absolutely mandatory*
 
Performance
Saturday, December 17th at 8PM
 
All rehearsals and the performance will be performed live over Zoom.
The performance will also be streamed live via Facebook and YouTube
 
To participate, you must have access to a PC with a webcam/microphone, 
reliable Internet access and access to/basic skills for Zoom.
