Do you know the next star of Capital Rep’s mainstage production? On Oct. 6, from 4-6PM, Capital Rep is holding auditions for Dorothy’s adorable pal in their upcoming production of THE WIZARD OF OZ. The theatre seeks a 10 lb. or less, well-behaved, furry friend, (no breed restriction, but hypoallergenic perferred) for the production that will start rehearsals Oct. 25. Toto will not be called for every rehearsal. Performances are 6 days/week: Nov. 18-Dec. 24 (show closes after the matinee); Tues-Thurs 7:30PM, Fri/Sat 8PM, Sat 3PM, Sun 2PM, Wed. Nov 30 2PM; student matinees on Dec. 7, 14, 21.

The perfect Toto must be friendly, with a sweet personality and able to answer commands of “stay” and “come.” Being able to jump into a basket a plus. Owner doesn’t necessarily have to be at all shows, but that will be discussed with individual owners. Pay: $200/wk for meals/gas. Please email photo, brief description of your dog, along with your phone number to Casting at capitalrep.org by Oct. 3. You will be given a time to bring your dog to Capital Rep, 251 N. Pearl St., Albany, NY 12054, Iselin Family Studio, second floor.
