BROADWAY TAP, JAZZ, & BALLET CLASSES SEPTEMBER 5 -DECEMBER 16


10:00-11:00am BROADWAY JAZZ (Beginner/Adv Beginner) SATURDAYS [SEP 9 -DEC 16] (No classes Nov 18th & 25th)  $260

Broadway Beginner/Advance Beginner Jazz Class Description

Class focuses on technique, foundation of jazz, performance, musicality, and bringing your own self to your work. Class begins with a set modern/jazz warm-up, touching on the styles of Horton, Limon, Luigi, Fosse, Cole-and focuses on a combination of isolations, basic ballet and jazz technique and presentation. Through the warm-up and across the floor exercises, students will develop their technique as a foundation. Choreography will be taught each class to familiarize students with diverse styles. The atmosphere is slow to medium paced, positive, professional and challenging, to promote self-confidence, and allow each student to develop their performance skills in an encouraging environment.


11:15-12:15pm BROADWAY TAP SATURDAYS [SEP 9 -DEC 16] (No classes Nov 18th & 25th)  (OPEN TO ALL LEVELS) $260

Broadway Tap Class Description

My classes are designed to help students build solid technique in an upbeat and positive atmosphere. Each class begins with a thorough warm-up engaging the brain and body while focusing on coordination, rhythm, weight shift and articulation. We will cover a wide range of tap vocabulary from shuffles and flaps to double maxi ford pullbacks and triple wing time steps. I will break down the footwork to encourage students to fine-tune and build on the skills they already possess. An ending combination will focus on the technique that was worked on throughout the class and keeping clear sounds, smooth transitions and musicality. The combinations will range in a variety of tap styles featured in Broadway Shows.


12:30-1:30pm BROADWAY JAZZ (Intermediate/Advanced) SATURDAYS [SEP 9 -DEC 16] (No classes Nov 18th & 25th)  $260

Broadway Intermediate/Advanced Jazz Class Description

Class focuses on performance, musicality, and bringing your own self to your work. Class begins with a set modern/jazz warm-up, touching on the styles of Horton, Limon, Luigi, Fosse, Cole-and focuses on a combination of isolations, basic ballet and jazz technique and presentation. The atmosphere is fast paced, positive, professional and challenging, to promote self-confidence, and allow each student to develop their performance skills in an encouraging environment.


6-7pm BALLET TUESDAYS [SEP 5-DEC 12] (No classes Oct 31st, Nov  14, 21 & 28th)  (OPEN TO ALL LEVELS) $220

Ballet Class Description

The class is fun and dynamic within an encouraging and challenging atmosphere. The class will provide a welcoming and friendly environment, with individualized instruction and attention, systematically designed to promote progress for each dancer.

This class will provide a strong basis in ballet technique, correct body alignment and posture, an introduction to French ballet terminology as well as ballet classroom etiquette for students of all dance styles. This class is suitable for the novice dancer with very little previous experience, or for the student who wants to continue to develop and refine their technique. Ballet slippers are required.
