Youth Auditions for Students Ages 8-18 for the Playhouse Stage Company 36th Fall/Spring Season will be held September 28-30, 2023.

Seeking students ages 8-18 for two productions in Playhouse Stage Company’s 36th Season.

Playhouse Stage Company is committed to diversity and inclusion in our casting practices. We strongly encourage actors of all gender identities, ethnicities, races, and ages, as well as actors with disabilities, to audition for any role.

Auditions will be held at Playhouse Stage Studios, 95 Remsen St., Cohoes, NY 12047. An open call sign in will be open from 7pm-8:30pm Thursday and Friday, September 28 & 29. On Saturday, September 30, sign in will be open from 10am-11:30am. Callbacks will be following open call on Saturday, September 30 as needed. Not all roles will be called back and a callback does not guarantee casting.
Please prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song of your choice (teen students, please choose something that is show appropriate). Bring sheet music in an appropriate key, an accompanist will be provided. Headshots and resumes are helpful but not essential. A movement call in groups will follow vocal auditions. There is no fee to audition. Participation in PSA educational productions in the 2023-2024 season is a $500 tuition fee. Tuition assistance / scholarships are available for all PSA programs. Tuition assistance is not discussed prior to casting, but no student has ever been turned away from PSA due to inability to pay.
