    Job Opportunities at the Theatre Institute at Russell Sage!   Click here to learn more or apply! Costume Designer and Shop Manager This is a ten-months per year, full-time position.   The Costume Designer and Shop manager builds and executes costume designs for 4-6 productions per academic year (late August through mid-June). This role supports an environment of equity and inclusion that uses mentoring techniques designed to increase success for every student. Additionally, the Costume Designer & Shop Manager guides high school interns and college work study students in costume construction and stock maintenance, teaches a semester of Costume Technology for the department's high school Internship program, and participates in other educational programs such as post performance residencies, on-site/in-school workshops, and meet and greets for perspective students and interns as time allows. Qualified Applicants should be comfortable teaching and modeling professional theatre habits and work ethic.     Coordinator, Education and Intern Program This is a full-time, full year position. This role centers around implementation and evaluation of all Theatre Institute at Sage (TIS) education programs, including Saturdays on Stage, Winter on Stage, Summer on Stage theatre camps. The Coordinator provides basic administration for coordinating school group matinee performances as well as all education programs (from registration to final performance and strike). The Coordinator provides on-site supervision of all education programs. Some administrative duties include arranging education staff orientation, training, & payroll, leading house staff for performances, creating study guides and other print and digital program marketing materials, and coordinating theatre education events. For the high school internship program, this role recruits, schedules, teaches and oversees the program, working with educators and parents to ensure student success. About the Theatre Institute: Established in February of 2011, the Theatre Institute at Russell Sage is dedicated to providing quality live theatre and arts-in-education programming to Capital Region youth, educators and residents. The Institute also provides opportunities for Russell Sage students as performers, technicians and teachers. Programs on the Russell Sage Troy Campus include educational support services for Sage productions (such as in-class preparations, teacher dress rehearsals and study guides), a Saturday theatre arts school, camps during school breaks, and several theatre camps during the summer for children ages 5-18.
