[Capdist-auditions] Theatrical show "Memorial Prayer"

The theatrical project is centered on the drama presentation of Grigory
Gorin's play *Memorial Prayer* (based on the story "Tevye the Milkman" by
Sholom Aleichem). It is an emotionally charged theatrical production that
aims to raise awareness of antisemitism. More information at

The casting call will take place on Saturday September 9 2023
(3:00pm-5pm).  You will be reading from the script.   Location: Meeting
room of William Sanford Town Library @ 629 Albany Shaker Rd, Albany. Production
Dates: December 15, 16, 22, 23 (4 performances). Director - Pavel Antonov

Synopsis: The play captured the essence of Jewish life in Eastern Europe in
the early 20th century. Tevye and his wife, Golda, have five daughters.
Tevye's main concern is finding suitable husbands for his daughters, but he
also grapples with the changing times and the challenges faced by the
Jewish community.

Characters being cast:

Tevye, (50-60years old) a poor milkman with five daughters.

Golda, Tevye's sharp-tongued wife.

Tzeitel, their oldest daughter.

Hodel, their daughter.

Chava, their daughter.

Motel, a poor tailor

Perchik, a student.

Fyedka, a young clerk.

Lazar, the wealthy village butcher.

Rabbi

Orthodox priest
