[Capdist-auditions] Auditions for "Into the Woods" and world premiere "Beethoven: Live in Concert" musicals at Fort Salem Theater

Fort Salem Theater is now casting for two upcoming musicals, *Into the
Woods*, and a developmental production of the new rock musical *Beethoven:
Live in Concert*. Both events will perform on the Fort Salem Theater

*INTO THE WOODS **(new audition appointments just added!) *
*Auditions:* Monday, Jan 29 & Tuesday, Jan 30 by appointment.
*Performances:* April 5-14, 2024

To audition, simply sign up for a 5-minute vocal audition at the link
below, and prepare approximately one minute of material that shows off your
vocal range. Additional materials may be provided at auditions or callbacks
(on Weds, January 31) if necessary.

About the show: Once upon a time, Cinderella pines to make a cameo at the
ball, Jack (of beanstalk fame) tends to his pet cow, Little Red Riding Hood
sets off toward grandmother’s house and a baker and his wife discover they
are barren, thanks to a curse from the neighboring witch. They all head
into the woods and embark on remarkable journeys that include falling in
love, slaying a giant, facing off with a wolf and more. Just when all
wishes appear to be granted, a stray magic bean sprouts a second stalk and
the giant’s vengeful wife disrupts everyone’s happy ending. Featuring
beloved music and classic fairy tale characters, this heartfelt musical
explores what happens after “happily ever after.”

*Auditions:* NOW through January 7 through video submissions.
*Performances:* April 19-21, 2024

To audition, send us a video of you singing your favorite pop-rock song. If
you’d like, you can also prepare one of the songs from the show, available
on our website (linked below). Please note if you are also auditioning for
Into the Woods (we understand!).

About the show: Beethoven: Live In Concert is an original rock musical
about the epic, tragic life of Ludwig van Beethoven. The music revolution
of the 70’s takes center stage as Beethoven transforms the world of
classical music into an electrifying journey through his tumultuous life.
>From political revolution to family drama, this is the story of the man who
defied fate and changed music forever- the world’s first Rock Star. This
production is rated R for explicit content and subject matter. NOTE: This
is a developmental production, meaning we will be doing the full musical
with limited set, costumes, and select choreography.
