*Specifically seeking: *

Male-presenting actor who can play 16-year-old teenager. Actor will not be
needed for all rehearsals, as he only appears in two scenes — but he's a
key character, with the main thrust of the drama revolving around a tragic
accident that happens to him halfway through the play. More details on the
production are below.


*Performance Dates:*

January 24 through February 2, 2025

Friday / Saturday at 8:00 pm, Sunday at 2:30 pm, Wednesday/Thursday at 7:30
pm

at Schenectady Civic Playhouse, 12 S. Church St.,

Schenectady



*Rehearsals:*

There will be 3-4 rehearsals per week, days/times depending on cast
availability.


*Synopsis:*

At eight years old, Theresa’s grandmother gave her a book called “100
Saints You Should Know.” Now as a single mother of an impulsive teenager
she has no idea how to parent, she yearns to return to a simpler time when
that book, with the picture of the saint who shared her name, gave her
something to believe in. She connects with Matthew, a young priest living
with his overprotective mother and questioning his own religious calling,
which puts her on a course with a tragic accident that will test everyone’s
faith.

*Colleen, *50s-60s



*Garrett, *16



*Note on casting: *We had a good turnout at in-person auditions for most
characters, but are specifically seeking someone who can play the role of
Garrett. If you'd like to be considered, contact director Tony Pallone,
tonypallone at gmail.com, to arrange for a virtual  audition on Zoom. Our goal
is to complete casting by Friday, Nov. 15.
