SLOC Musical Theater is thrilled to announce a day filled with FREE,
diverse dance workshops for our community on December 7, 2024!

Mark your calendar, spread the word, and find a class for all ages and
skill levels, taught by past SLOC choreographers and amazing teachers. Try
tap for the first time! Hone your audition skills! There is something for
everyone!

Classes are free, but registration is required as class size is limited.

Day of Dance Workshops

Exploring Acting Through Movement

   -

   Ages 6-11
   -

   9 am - 10 am on December 7, 2024
   -

   Instructor: Brittany Glenn
   -

   In this workshop, children will learn how to use movement to express
   themselves as performers. This is a great workshop for kids looking to get
   started in theater.

Musical Theater Dance: Beginners

   Ages 12-18

   10 am - 11 am on December 7, 2024

   Instructor: Betsy Foust

   This workshop is for teen performers looking to get more experience
   before their next musical audition. Students will learn a combination and
   learn what to expect at a dance audition.

Musical Theater Dance: Intermediate/Advanced

   Ages 12-18

   11 am - 12 pm on December 7, 2024

   Instructor: Emily Argento

   This workshop is for teen performers who have a background in dance.
   They will learn a combination focusing on both technique and performance.
   They will also have a chance to learn how to stand out in a dance audition.

Tap Dance for Beginners

   Ages 12 and older

   12 pm - 1 pm on December 7, 2024

   Instructor: Emily Argento & Betsy Foust

   This workshop is for teenagers and adults who are looking to learn how
   to tap dance.  The instructors will teach basic tap moves and a short
   combination.

   opportunity to dance.  They will learn a combination and how to better
   prepare ofr their next dance audition.

Swing Dancing for Beginners
