Hello!

My name is Kalen Eriksson, and I am a producer based in Westchester. I was referred to this mailing group by someone in the "518 Theatre Artists" Facebook group.

I have a SAG-AFTRA registered short film shooting at a local theater in Ghent, NY on Sunday, 11/3/2024 and I'd like to reach out to groups in the area for a general extras casting call.

ROLE: Audience member watching a play. Open to all ages, genders, races, families. Potential for role as a featured extra
TIME: Call time TBD, estimated 1-2hr commitment

For one scene in this short film, we need to pack this theater with an audience. A tall ask, but looking for 40-50 extras, for a span of about two hours.

I hate to say this background role is unpaid, but it's only a handful of shots so we can guarantee it's only a 1-2hr commitment, with credit and refreshments included. The timing is still getting nailed down, but we are looking at a call time of mid-afternoon, say between 3pm - 5pm on 11/3, for these extras.

The location is the Ghent Playhouse, and we are working with many of their local talent to try and bring in people as well. Any interest here or referrals to groups I can reach out to in the area would be very greatly appreciated.
