The Capital Region Festival of Theatre needs you to create the best event
possible and with over 100 theatre companies in the Capital Region, if
everyone gave something of their time, talent or treasure, we could have
one of the greatest theatre festivals in the country!



*What do we need?*

*Create Awareness:* Wear a T-shirt, a button, slap a sticker on it, send a
postcard, take a picture of you doing it, amplify our social media, host a
CRFT volunteer in your lobby to inform your audience and tell everyone you
know that the Capital Region has 100+ theatre companies including 15 youth
companies, 22 high schools that compete for the Jimmys, 8 colleges (5 with
theatre majors), 47 community theatres, 16 professional companies and new
theatres added every year!

*Raise Funds:* Buy a T-shirt, let us know about charitable individuals and
businesses that we can contact, host a benefit, or *Donate Here!*

*Fill Theatres:* Go to our website and sign up to perform or find out the
needs of staffing or building the event at our 7 venues-The Cue Theatre,
Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Theatre Institute at Sage, Fort Salem
Theatre, Schenectady Light Opera Company, theREP or UAlbany.

*Time to Act:* There's 143 days until Festival and we need to kick it into
high gear!

The Capital Region has a theatre for everyone from 8 years old to 80: for
toddlers and young children, it's a great place to discover theatre, for
teens and young adults it's a great place to study theatre, a great place
to hone your craft, a great place to leave and seek a career and greater
opportunities and when you need to it's a great place to come home and fill
the rest of your life with theatre to make for a happier, healthier, more
purposeful life. Everyone should know that the Capital Region is a GREAT
place to love theatre your whole life long!
