Audition Cut Selection & Preparation Workshop

Join veteran music director and accompanist Dan Galliher for an insightful
workshop on picking the perfect audition cut for your next show. Topics
will cover:

   -

   Perfect Cut Length: Understanding the flexibility of the “16 to 32 bar
   rule.”
   -

   Musical & Dramatic Connections: Leveraging the interplay between music
   and drama in your song selection.
   -

   Showcasing Strengths: Selecting a cut that highlights more than just
   your vocal abilities.
   -

   Accompanist Considerations: Practical tips for working with your
   accompanist, including sheet music presentation.
   -

   Sheet Music Choices: Deciding between original scores, vocal selections,
   and online resources.
   -

   Recommended for Adults and Students age 13+.


Bring your questions and your audition piece to discuss or get opinions.
We'll also have a collaborative discussion to determine an appropriate
audition cut for a hypothetical audition.



This workshop is FREE but does require registration as space is limited.
