Audition Notice: One-Act Play Festival

Festival Overview

The Foothills art council  is thrilled to announce auditions for our fifth One-Act Play Festival! We are seeking passionate and dedicated actors to bring a diverse range of characters to life across several exciting works. This festival celebrates original storytelling and offers a unique opportunity for performers to collaborate with emerging playwrights and directors.

Audition Details

Our One-Act Play Festival will feature 7 distinct one-act plays, each with a run time of approximately 10 to 15  minutes. These plays explore a variety of genres, including drama, comedy, and experimental theatre. The festival aims to provide a platform for new voices in playwriting and to showcase the talent of local actors.

Location: FMCC Rao Theater, 2805 route 67 Johnstown NY 12095

Dates:
   
   - July 12   th , from 2  to 5 pm
   - July 13   th , from 2  to 5 pm

What to Prepare: Sides will be provided by the directors at auditions.

What to Expect: Auditions will consist of a cold reading from one of the festival scripts. This will allow us to see how you interpret new material and interact with other actors. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled audition time to complete any necessary paperwork.

Rehearsal and Performance Schedule

We are seeking actors of all ages, genders, and ethnicities for a variety of roles.

Rehearsals will be set up once the shows are cast and based on your director.
