[Capdist-auditions] CALL FOR MUSIC DIRECTOR & CHOREOGRAPHER – “1776” The Musical

Homemade Theater is seeking a Music Director and Choreographer for its summer production of 1776, to be performed at the Saratoga Music Hall from July 18–27, 2025.

This powerful and timely musical brings the signing of the Declaration of Independence to life with heart, humor, and urgency. We’re looking for creative and collaborative artists to join our production team and help shape this historic show with passion and purpose.

Positions Needed:

  *   Music Director – Lead vocal rehearsals, coordinate with instrumentalists, and maintain the musical integrity of the show.

  *   Choreographer – Design and teach movement and stage action that supports both the historical setting and the storytelling needs of the ensemble.

Rehearsals:

  *   Begin late May

  *   Held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:00–9:00 PM and Sundays from 2:00–5:00 PM

  *   You will not be required at every rehearsal—schedule will be built collaboratively based on needs and availability.

Performance Dates:
July 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27
Location: Saratoga Music Hall, Saratoga Springs, NY
