Saturday, September 29. 2007, Schenectady Civic Players kicks off its 80th anniversary season by hosting an open house from 10 AM?to 4 PM?culminating with a staged reading of Anton Chekhov's one Act play? - The Proposal - at 4:30 PM.? Come see SCP favorites Bob Hegeman, and Colin McCarty, along with newcomer Sephanie Insogna read the first production ever done at?SCP in 1927; what a more fitting way to celebrate 80 years of theater!?After the reading, there will be a champagne and?cake reception to celebrate SCP's 80 years.
