FREE Musical Theatre on the Clifton Common.
 
Clifton Park: Not So Common Players are "off to see the Wizard"!  That's
right!  Sponsored by the Town of Clifton Park The Wizard of Oz opened
July 11, 2008 on the Clifton Common.  Additional performances are:  July
17, 18, 19, 20 @ 7:30 pm nitely.  FREE Musical Theatre on the Common.
 
Produced by Richard Lenehan, directed by Laura W. Andruski, with vocal
direction by Pat Douglass, choreography by Sara Paupini and conductor
Barret Germain, the cast, ensemble, muchkins and crew are the largest
group assembled by Not So Common Players in their 8 year history.more
than 100 people involved in this production.  That includes 25
Munchkins!
 
The first weekend performances drew nearly 2000 people to the show.
Bring lawn chairs and bug spay and plan to have a wonderful time
following the yellow brick road!  With audiences so familiar with the
movie, the director has chosen the Royal Shakespeare Company's (RSC)
stage version which was scripted closest to the movie.  Enjoy your
favorite melodies and antics along with a few surprises! So look "Over
The Rainbow" and "Follow The Yellow Brick Road" as you go "Off To See
The Wizard" in the "Merry Old Land Of Oz"!
 
Leading players are:  Laura Smith (Dorothy); Sean Carter
(Hunk/Scarecrow), Emmett Ferris (Hickory/Tinman), Bil Depew (Zeke/Lion),
Elizabeth Bartlett (Miss Gulch/)Wicked Witch), Kate Kaufman-Burns (Aunt
Em/Glinda); Eric Garside (Uncle Henry/Guard), Marty Egan (Professor
Marvel/Wizard), Jasmine (Toto in Kansas) and Marissa Galego (Toto in
OZ).
 
Ensemble include:  Kara Cregin, Katie DiMaria, Danielle Giammatteo,
Mikaela Holmes, Lydea Irwin, Jessica Reichard, Janice Walz, Jacob Brode,
Joey Cappucitti, Chuck Conroy, Kevin Escudero, Ryan Glynn, David
Dipaolo.
 
Munchkins are:  Emily Crannell, Giovanna Marotta, Carmelena Cordi,
Dominic Pagoli, Abaigeal Donahue, Ali Digina, Madeline Conroy, Richard
Kalinowski, Nickie Guilbeault, Julia Conroy, Jessica Wang, Kara Snyder,
Olivia Burns, Katrina Kalinowski, Kyra Bechard, Emily Wang, Isabel Kim,
Olivia Kim, Erika McCarthy, Kayla Wheeler, Amanda Graves, Julia
Crannell, Mackenzie Hall, Katie Paniccia.
 
Come--see The Wizard Of Oz;  Bring lawn chair, blanket & bug spray.  No
raindates.  Show will not be cancelled unless a downpour.  Decision made
at 6:30 PM each evening.  And remember it's FREE!
