Circle Theatre Players presents its' first original one act play festival. Fourteen plays were chosen from 83 entries representing nine different states. These originals came from beginning playwrights as well as seasoned playwrights and authors. Some are being done for the first time; two recently had staged readings - one at Colonial Little Theatre in Johnstown and one at the Kennedy Center. The plays deal with the here and now of our everyday lives and reflect our humanity as well as diverse cultures.

Eleven directors are rehearsing with 36 actors who are playing 54 characters. The actors come from the Capital Region, some new to the stage and some are veterans

The directors include Nancy Wilder, Cheryl Charbonneu, Susanne Keller, Barbara Leavell Smith, Joan Fuess, Val Kavanaugh, Diane Doring, Eric Washburn, Paul Trela, Sky Vogel.

Each play is given twice so Group A will be performed on December 3 and 5 and Group B
on December 2 and 4. All performances are at 7:30pm. Reservations are suggested.
See www.slca-ctp.org for details. Tickets are $10 each evening or $15 for both Groups A & B.
