Hailed as the only light-hearted (comedy) play written by Eugene O’Neill, Ah,
Wilderness!is the story of the Miller Family.  Set in 1906 on the Fourth of July
in Connecticut, the play is a nostalgic reflection of middle-class life in a
by-gone era, and yet, the characters are very much from our time.  The joys and
frustrations of family, the exuberance and follies of youth, and the coming of
age of a young man about to embark on his adult life are all themes that entwine
within the plot.
