SUMMER THEATER PROGRAM!

August 15th-19th

             First Lutheran Church, 181 Western Ave, Albany.    9am - 4pm

 In a loving home in the city of London, Dalmatian parents, Pongo and Perdita happily raise their Dalmatian puppies, until the monstrous Cruella De Vil plots to steal them for her new fur coat! Join all the dogs of London, as they daringly rescue the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen. With a delightfully fun score, lovable characters, and one of the most deliciously evil villains in the Disney canon, this stage adaptation is certain to charm and delight all audiences.

CAPS Kids is an excellent way for kids to have fun in a safe environment. Children get a chance to learn more about theater and make friends in a fun and positive atmosphere. Children start out the day at 9:00 all together and from there the fun begins!  This year we will be staging 101 Dalmations at the end of our camp week.  In just 1 week the cast will put together a complete production! The show (which is about 45 minutes) will be staged on Friday afternoon at 2pm.   

ALL CHILDREN WHO SIGN UP WILL BE IN THE SHOW ON FRIDAY! Space is limited however to just 30 participants in Kindergarten- 9th grade!  Any child who wishes to participate but not perform on the stage is also invited to learn about behind the scenes and can assist with crew, lights etc.  THE FIRST 30 CHILDREN TO SIGN UP WILL BE IN THE PRODUCTION! 

COSTS:  $180 for Monday-Friday from 9am - 4pm.  Price includes materials, 2 tickets to Fridays show and a 101 Dalmations show shirt. Late Pick up until 5pm is available for $35 per child for the week.  Children attending will need White or Black Pants or shorts and white or black dance shoes or sneakers for Fridays production! (no denim!)  Additional show tickets are very limited and are available for $5 each.  

CAPS Kids ASSISTANT POSITIONS:  There are a limited number of positions available for 10th - 12th graders who are interested is assisting while attending and participating in the program.  These older teens will assist with the production and camp, a great learning experience and resume builder!  The cost is just $75 and there are only 4 -6 positions available!  This includes a Dalmations Tshirt also.
