Home Made Theater Closes its Season with 

a Hilarious Comedy!

 

Home Made Theater wraps up their 28th season with Ken Ludwig’s LEADING
LADIES at the Spa Little Theater in the Saratoga Spa State Park.  The show
runs weekends April 19th through May 5th. 

Two washed-up Shakespearean actors hit bottom – performing "Scenes from
Shakespeare" on the Moose Lodge circuit in Amish country. When they hear a
nearby elderly woman is leaving her fortune to her two long-lost nephews,
they try to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives and get the cash.
The trouble is, her relatives aren't nephews, but nieces!  Romantic
entanglements and laughs abound as "Maxine and Stephanie" try to keep up
their act.

The director of LEADING LADIES is Kirk Starczewski who has directed numerous
HMT productions including RUMORS, A LITTLE HOUSE CHRISTMAS, THE SNOW QUEEN
and A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and wrote and directed HMT’s past three murder
mystery fundraisers.

The cast of LEADING LADIES includes Brian Avery as Jack Gable, Conrad Browne
Lörcher as Leo Clark, Nick Casey as Butch, Matthew Crowley as Duncan,
Marilyn Detmer as Florence, Patrick Leathem as Doc, Amanda Martini-Hughes as
Meg, and Allison McArdle as Audrey.

The artistic team for LEADING LADIES includes scenic designer Kevin Miller,
lighting designer Jaime Martinez-Rivera, costume designer Linda Bertrand,
sound designer KC Conway, and properties designer Anne-Marie Baker. 

 Performances are Fridays and Saturdays April 19, 20, 26, 27, and May 3 & 4
at 8:00pm. Matinees are on Sundays April 28 & May 5 at 2:00pm.  An optional
dinner package is available at Lillian’s Restaurant prior to the evening
performances or following the matinee performances for an additional $25 per
person plus tax and service charge.  Ticket prices are $23 and $26. For
