Join us on First Friday, June 6th, at the African American Cultural Center
of the Capital Region to give honor the life and
legacy of Dr. Maya Angelou.
>From the dirt roads of Stamps, AK to the steps of Capital of Washington DC,
Dr. Angelou's words weaved into our American
Quilt. A true Renaissance Woman, Dr. Angelou's gifts ranged from dance to
theater and to literature. The African American
Cultural Center of the Capital Region will honor Dr. Angelou's life with
the music, poetry, and dance.
Performances include readings by members of the cast of "for colored girls
who considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf"

The Center is located at 135 South Pearl Street at the corner of Madison
and South Pearl. Doors open at 6.30pm and the
event is free and open to the public.
