‘THE25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE,’ NOVEMBER 7- 30  
 
CAMBRIDGE,NY (October 29, 2014)—The Theatre Company at Hubbard Hall (TCHH) will present The 25th AnnualPutnam County Spelling Bee, the Tony Award-winning musical comedy classic byWilliam Finn and Rachel Sheinkin, November 7-30.
Perfect for family audiences, thishilarious tale of overachievers’ angst chronicles the experience of sixadolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. For thisquirky yet charming band of kids, a spelling bee is the one place where theycan stand out and fit in at the same time.
Hubbard Hall ExecutiveDirector David Snider will direct a cast that includes Sylvia Eowyn Bloom, KyraFitzgerald, Edward Mawere, Jeffrey Vizcaino, Digby Baker-Porazinski, ChrisBarlow, Sebastian Durfee, Sara Curtis and Erin Ouellette.  .
 
“The 25thAnnual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a hilarious farce – but one with agolden heart,” Snider said. “It’s a celebration of hard work, risk taking andtrying to be the best, a celebration of those who don’t fit in easily and theirjourney to find their own path. It’s a party for us all, to remember how itfelt to be so young, so earnest and so excited to find our own way.”
 
The production’s creative staffincludes Richard Cherry, musical director; Jack Boggan, assistant director; BenjieWhite, technical director; Sherry Recinella, costume designer; Calvin Anderson,lighting designer; and Darcy May, choreographer.
 
Thursday,November 6 will be the Pay What You Will / Open Final Rehearsal at 8 p.m. Therewill be 16 performances of The 25th Annual Putnam CountySpelling Bee, November7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29 at 8 p.m.; and November 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23,29 and 30 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $24 for Hubbard Hall members, $27 fornon-members, $15 for students (11 and up), and $10 for youth (ages 6-10).Tickets are available at www.hubbardhall.orgor by calling (518) 677-2495.
 
An Opening Night Dinner will take place Friday,November 7 at 6 p.m. in the Beacon Feed Studio. The menu will feature (not yourcafeteria-style) school lunch specialties.
