NorthEast Theatre Ensemble presents "THE LITTLE FOXES"

Lillian Hellman's classic tale of greed, "The Little Foxes" is just as
timely now as when written. Come join the Hubbards at Ten Broeck Mansion
for a night of site specific theatre where you will peek into the lives of
people behaving very badly!
Written in 1939 it is definitely considered a classic of 20th century
drama. The title comes from Chapter 2, Verse 15 of the Song of Solomon in
the King James version of the Bible, which reads, "Take us the foxes, the
little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes." Set
in a small town in Alabama in 1900, it focuses on the struggle for control
of a family business. It was Dorothy Parker who suggested the title..
Ben, Oscar, and Regina, siblings, conspire plot and scheme to get what they
want while the rest of the family feels the fallout.

The matinee performance on the 19th of November will be followed by a brief
panel discussion of race and servitude in the production and this time
period closer to home in Albany. The panel will feature Marisa Williamson,
Matthew Kirk, Mary Liz Stewart, Paul Stewart, and Mike Lake. Light
refreshments will be served immediately following.Those who have already
seen the show on a different date are welcome to attend the panel as well.
