THE INSPECTING CAROL Opens at HMT!

Home Made Theater continues their 33rd season with Daniel Sullivan's comedy,
Inspecting Carol. The show runs weekends February 10-25 at the Spa Little
Theater in Saratoga Spa State Park.

The play is about a group of dysfunctional theater people who take
themselves very seriously. This struggling theater company is set to open
their annual production of A Christmas Carol when they find out their
funding is being held up until they pass an inspection. When an impossibly
bad actor is mistakenly identified as the inspector, the troupe does
everything to accommodate his craziest wishes. As the impending opening
night draws closer, it seems only a Christmas miracle will save this
production.

The Director of Inspecting Carol is Jonathan Hefter. He previously directed
HMT's 2016 production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. As an actor he started his
performing career here in Saratoga, and appeared in HMT's 1987 production of
On Golder Pond.  He has appeared Off-Broadway and on television on such
programs as Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Saturday Night Live. More
recent HMT acting credits include The Complete History of America
(Abridged), Witness for the Prosecution, and Rumors.

The artistic team includes Scenic Designer William E. Fritz, Lighting
Designer Kyle Van Sandt, Costume Designer Laurie Larson, Sound Designer
Barry Streifert, and Properties Designer Anne-Marie Baker.

The cast of Inspecting Carol includes Marilyn Detmer as Dorothy, Ron DeLucia
as Larry, Charles Fitz-Gerald as Kevin, Devin Funnye as Walter, Robin Leary
as MJ, Andrew MacHenry as Sidney, David Mann as Wayne, Joan Meyer as Zorah,
and Mark Todaro as Phil.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., February 10, 16, 17,
23, & 24. Matinees are on Sundays at 2:00 p.m., February 11, 18, & 25. An
optional dinner package is available at Bookmakers at the Holiday Inn prior
to evening performances, or following matinees, for an additional $27 per
person plus tax and gratuity.

Tickets for the show are $27 and $24, and can be purchased online at the HMT
web site, www.homemadetheater.org, in person during box office hours, or by
